Now I am sure that you at this moment use one of the following,
Facebook, Myspace ,Twitter , Beebo, or have contributed comments or content to a blog at some point.
If that is the case then you have actively contributed to Web 2.0.

A Web 2.0 site lets people interact with others and change the content of the site. Unlike non-interactive websites where users are limited to the passive viewing of information that is given to them.
It is supposedly the next evolution of the internet and provides more of an active community of users.
It promotes interaction between the users as opposed to just a lot of disconnected people staring at information on a screen.
Now they get the chance to add to it, even alter it, and I guess it serves to bring people together.
Although the opposite could just as easily be said if you see some of the comments that get posted on some web 2.0 sites.

It’s going to be a lot better to actually read people’s profiles and only contact those people that have expressed an interest in your market and what you are doing.
Might take a little longer but it will be beneficial in the long run.
You don’t want to be a 2.0 spammer.
Just blasting out random offers to people that you have no idea if they have even the slightest bit of interest in what you’re doing.
This goes for all web 2.0 platforms.
And make sure you give before you expect to receive.
If you are going to post comments on a blog ( again a targeted blog, filled with people interested in your market ), then take the time to answer some questions , contribute a little.
Don’t just jump on and post “ check out my stuff .”
Be targeted , be relevant and give before you receive and watch your list of friends , followers, and website visitors jump.
